The 2000 Vintage in Oregon: The third lovely year in a row. Grapes were picked by hand at perfect maturity under ideal conditions.
50% of this wine was fermented in French Oak barrels (about 20% of which were new), and 50% was fermented in a large stainless steel tank. The result is a wine of excellent balance, with bright, fresh, crisp fruit, a lovely mouthfeel, and Véronique's trademark long and elegant finish.
Nice golden hue. Nose of pear and some peach character. Harmonious, round. Good balance and good length. The oak is very subtle and well integrated. This wine has excellent definition and finesse. 750 cases produced
Drink now through 2006. Fruity, long elegant finish. Last tasted September, 2005.
